A Sewist working for other Sewists.

I love sewing just as much as you do. And I know how difficult it is to be without your sewing machine for weeks when it’s waiting to be serviced.

At Even Stitches, you choose a week to drop off your machine to have it serviced and pick it up the following week, as long as there aren’t any parts that need to be ordered.

Even Stitches is a small, home based repair shop that tries to get your sewing machine back to you as quickly as possible without leaving it to sit for weeks. That’s time you could be sewing!

Even Stitches offers sewing machine repairs and service on all makes and models of sewing machines, sergers, cover stitch machines, and single needle embroidery machines.  A Service to your machine includes taking the cover off and cleaning it inside and out, getting all the bits of fluff out, cleaning, oil and lubricate the moving parts, setting the timing and making your machine as close to it's original state as possible.  This process often takes care of any issues you might be having, but if you do require additional replacement parts, or repairs done, I will contact you and make sure that you approve the estimate before moving forward.

Hello

My name is Colleen McCutcheon

I love to sew! I mostly make garments and stuffed animals,  though I’m happy to work on any type of sewing project.

I wanted to open this repair service because we do not have enough places in this area to repair sewing machines.   I find it so difficult to decide which of my machines I am going to need to do without for the next 3 or more weeks.  I own five different types of machines and it’s still difficult to choose which machine I will do without.

I’m here for the other sewists that feel like me.

When I’m not repairing machines, or sewing,  I’m often hiking with River, my great dane,  reading or playing board games with my husband.
